3D laser scanning is fast and accurate process of capturing physical shape of the object. Delivered point clouds can be of different density, depending on the scanner’s resolution settings. Nowadays most of the advanced CAD systems are supporting design work with the use of point cloud data.
As 3D laser scanning process collects a lot of information about the ambient, shooting up to 2 mln. points per second, not all of the collected data is representing practical interest, that is why the information collected usually has to be post-processed (registered) to ensure its integrity and absence of unwanted artefacts.
The registration process can be on-site or in-office. The first is automatic, not involving scan line-up check and cleaning, the second one is done by our operator in specialized software -this approach is more accurate and ready for the next project step.
We can provide 3D laser scan data in any of the above condition, exported in our client’s required format.
Depending on the size of the property, we are providing complete set of cleaned-up office-registered scans at the end of 2nd working day from the start of the 3D Laser Scanning process.
